Gaze into my aged, teary eyes
What is it that you see?
A life filled with regrets...
A life based on enslavement...
Afraid...AFRAID
To wake up, open my eyes, and speak.
...SCREAM...
I'm screaming but no one hears...or cares,
Cares about the old..aged minds of yesterday.
That once were so brilliant...
My thought now only bring tears to my eyes,
constrictions to my throat,
and fading memories to my conscious mind.
Hopes and dreams were discarded long ago,
Years of physical and mental suffering are forgotten,
Thrown away, disposed, and recycled, for the next generation.
I have no triumphant stories to capture your attention,
to make you listen...
I only have scars to show all of the hard work that I have endured,
endured for survival,
survival of the fittest they say...

Well, in this world survival is based on money, greed, jealousy,
Money Greed Jealousy Power...Money Greed Jealousy Power
and CONTROL
Control by manipulation,
my mind, body, and soul have been denied life,
sacrificed for survival
Slave away an entire life, in order to survive,
and now in the end I am no longer useful in today's standards,
so the chain still remain,
and the sad fact is that they always will,
Until something evolves out of the stagnance of your mind
and you see me for who i am
a human being,
that is old but wise,
that has a heart, and cries
that aches and yearns
and throughout all of this I have learned
to be thankful for each breath that i take
for come one day I may never wake
because dying and death can come at any time
and this thought festers in my mind.
So i must hear that I am loved much
Because we will grow old some day
and all of your sacrifice will be forgotten too
and all of your hopes and dreams will be shattered
and all of your memories will be yellow pictures,
in a photo album
and come that day you will remember
what you did, or what you didn't do
and you will live with the regret
So in the meantime we must rely on how we live in our hearts,
and hope that all that is sacrificed, will be remembered.

another aged wrinkle face, that doesn't exist in your eyes
another weak, fragile body, that only moves slow
another senile mind, that only tells the same old stories?
